i think this ended up looking a little creepy, which wasn’t the intent.

it was supposed to be a portrait of my nonnno, done in a way to reference looking up at a monument.

but the lack of eyes changes the meaning.

i want to do it, but i dont want to post it on facebook, so i will post it here.

so, yes, i have drank the kool-aid ( or should i say the coffee). I love being a barista at starbucks. I was a drinker before working there, but actually working for them gives a new insight to the company and i have never worked for a company that treats their employees better.

The company is good as a whole but my location is what makes me love my job. My manager has put together an awesome team, and with the majority of us being new, it could have been disastorous, but it wasn’t. He has created such a comfortable environment, as cheesy as it sounds. I feel myself when i’m there, maybe because we all have such open personalities. I know that i will never get sick of this job.

The issue arose that pornographic photos are taken solely for the purpose of arrousal, they are not beautiful, nor send a message. Running with that definition of pornography, it enraged me that these photos were accused of being ponographic, because they could arrouse somebody.

I brought up the issue that if that really is the defintion of pornography, then ANY image is pornographic, because somewhere in the world, everybody has a fetish that corresponds with something that has photos taken of it. A picture of a gun could be a pornographic image because someone can get off to it. So if necessary, the argument could be made that any image can be considered pornographic.

On WordPress, you can start writing a post, and then save it for later if you don’t feel like posting it. I have 3 of them saved lol. So, i’ve been trying to write in here, but it just doesn’t work. The main reason is because of school, when i stopped writing in this blog, it was nearing the end of second semester, and assignments and tests were taking over. Now that the main school year is done, i still have 2 spring classes (maybe i’m a glutton for punishment) and i am working part-time until the classes finish. Still, it is very stressful, especially when i am required to from work to school. I have to bring my whole closet with me in the truck, and change in basically a 3 by 3 bathroom at work, and then make it to class in time.

I was just looking back at some of the old posts, and i was really grabbing at things to write about, or it seemed. I thought i would revisit the blog to see if there were actually still readers, and i have 2 more hours to kill before i go in to work, and i have been working on a painting for a few hours, so i thought i woud write a ‘comeback’ post, or something like it.

A lot has changed since i stopped blogging. I’ve met some new, truly incredible people that have helped me in an amazing way. They are people i hope will stay good friends. I’ve also had some great times with my friends who have come home from university, and hopefully many more fun times in the summer (camping…i want to go camping).

I have also lost some weight…i am almost down 40 pounds from my heaviest..something i am proud of, but it was not easy by any means, and it’s not going to get any easier.

and like i mentioned…work has started. This really does suck, but i was reuinited with some of the best coworkers ever, who have also become good friends. They really so make the job so much more enjoyable.

So…hopefully i will remember to continue blogging, as i know i will have some awesome stories to tell throughout the summer.
